Obituary
Carol June Calhoun, 83, of Nixa, MO, passed away Saturday, April 9, 2016. She was born in Oshkosh, NE, April 25, 1932, to Ira and Daisy Paisley.
She was a 1950 graduate of Garden County High School in Oshkosh, NE. After graduating from Blair Business College in Colorado Springs, CO, she held various secretarial jobs before marrying Glenn in 1955. She engaged in a full-time voluntary Bible ministry prior to raising a family. Her interests included cooking, Bible study, farming, ranching and enjoying her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Dick Paisley and sister, Mary Sue Johnson, both of Oshkosh, Nebraska.
Carol is survived by her husband, Glenn, of Nixa; daughter, Susan Jeffries and husband Ryne of Council Bluffs, IA; son, James Calhoun and wife Deborah of Ozark, MO; 5 grandchildren, 1 great granddaughter; and one sister, LaVonne Jones of Colorado Springs, CO.
A memorial service will be held at 2 PM, Saturday, April 16, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 1915 Hiawatha Road, Nixa, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Haven Home Health and Hospice, 1114 W Jackson St, Ozark, MO 65721.
