IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bud
Parks
February 10, 1940 – November 27, 2025
Buddy Wayne "Bud" Parks, 85 years of age, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on November 27, 2025. He was born February 10, 1940, to Gayford "George" and Freda Leona (Vanhooser) Parks in Marshfield, Missouri.
Bud had an early retirement from Lily-Tulip Cup Corporation print shop. In later years before fully retiring, he did handy man repairs and built decks. At a young age, Bud had a love for music and sports. Many memories are held of him playing music on his guitar with his family, as an avid slow pitch softball player and coaching little league. He also had a love for fishing and golf.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Donna Parks; son, Tony Parks; mother and stepfather, MC and Freda McKinney; father, George Parks; brother, George "Junior" Parks; sisters, Georgia "Pat" Church, Retha "Faye" Gray and Joan Wolfinbarger; and stepbrothers, Melvin, Johnny and Donnie McKinney.
Bud is survived by his daughters, Pamela Kirby and her husband, Gary of Everton and Susan Sales and her husband, Gen of Rogersville; step-son, Gary Maddox of Fair Grove; grandchildren, Chelsea (José) Rondelli, Halston (Joseph) Workman, Padyn Kirby, and Eli Sales; step-granddaughter, Shonna (Daniel) Barton; great grandchildren, Ellie, Rylie, Mathias, Luciana, and Reata; and beloved extended family and friends.
Although he didn't attend church in his later years, he was always concerned if someone knew the Lord. He made sure we knew he was ready to meet his Lord.
Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at Smith Cemetery in Rogersville, Missouri. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bud's name to Smith Cemetery, in care of Paula Maxheimer, Secretary 754 W Katella St Springfield, MO 65807 or the American Diabetes Association.
