Brandy Smith Burks

Brandy Lee Smith Burks, 53, of Mt. Vernon, MO passed away Tuesday, June 30, 2026. She was born July 18, 1972, to Thomas and Sandra Smith in Springfield MO.

Brandy graduated from Mt. Vernon High School and went on to graduate from cosmetology school. She also earned certificates in medical coding, dental hygiene and as a legal assistant. Brandy took the most pride in being a loving daughter, wife, mother and friend.

She was preceded in death by her father, Thomas Smith.

She is survived by her husband, Danny Burks; sons, Dawlton Pittman and Dakohta Pittman; mother, Sandra Drysdale; and her best friend of 41 years, Julie Braun.

A Celebration of Life will be held on the family's property at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, MO.
