Boyd Craig

Boyd Glenn Craig of Marshfield, MO. was born on December 8th, 1950, in the small town of Norwood, MO to Owen and Shirley Craig and passed away on February 25th, 2026, surrounded by the loving company of his friends and family.

Boyd spent a large portion of his life in the Stainless-Steel trade starting in the mid 1970s where he worked at the Paul Mueller Company in Springfield, MO as a tank welder for many years until taking a position as a supervisor for the company. He moved his skills as a lead supervisor to Stainless Fabrication Incorporated, also located in Springfield, MO around the year 2000 where he managed the quality control aspect for their fast-growing corporation.

He was an avid fan of NASCAR racing and enjoyed travelling to see the races with fellow friends and family for over 20 consecutive years straight. He also loved to work on and restore automobiles as well as building and maintaining his own Dirt Track stock car in which he raced very successfully at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds in the mid 70s and 80s.

Boyd enjoyed the small things in life and never met a person he didn’t like and loved to sit around and visit with customers at his thrift store located on the square in Marshfield, MO. He loved music, especially 70s rock and enjoyed going to concerts when a band he loved was passing through. He had a kind heart and often put everything aside to help others whether it was to just talk to them to help in a situation, work on a vehicle that needed repaired or just to help in any way needed.

Boyd was preceded in death by his parents, Owen and Shirley Craig and is survived by his wife, Glenda Craig, his two children, Troy Craig and Carrie Skaggs as well as his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, along with many family and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services of Springfield, Mo and memorial services will be held at the Love Thy Neighbor Church located in Marshfield, Mo at a later date to follow.
