William "Bill" Eugene Drummond, 73, of Springfield, MO, passed away Friday, August 26, 2022 .

He was born September 18, 1948 , in Hermann, MO to Gordon and Mamie Drummond.

Bill worked as a welder for 40 years at Allen Filters. Prior to his full retirement, however, he was a delivery driver for Reliable Imports in Springfield for seven years, a job he quite enjoyed. Those closest to him say he had an inquisitive mind. He liked to tinker around the house and yard, fixing anything that needed attention. He enjoyed watching the hummingbirds fly around the numerous feeders in the back yard. Throughout his life, he liked to travel. At home, he would relax in his recliner and do crossword puzzles and watch Cardinals games or racing on television.

Bill married Teresa Tindle, on July 27, 1970, and through their union they had two daughters. Emily Drummond of Clermont, FL and Maggie Stewart (Brent) of Kirkwood, MO.

He is also survived by his sister, Phyllis Eagleburger (Steve) of West Linn, OR, two nieces, an aunt and numerous cousins.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A private service will be held at a later date.
