Bill Coombes, 75, of Republic, Missouri, passed away peacefully with family at his side on April 1st, 2025. Born in Springfield, Missouri, Bill was a loving father, grandfather, and loyal friend, whose presence will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Bill was a devoted Christian man with a heart for the Lord. He was a loving father to his daughter, Andrea Blakemore, and three sons, Andy Coombes, Matt Coombes, and Nate Jones, and a proud grandfather to eight grandchildren. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Rita Coombes, and his cherished daughter, Andrea Blakemore.

Bill had a deep love for helping other people with acts of kindness and making them smile by sharing a joke or giving compliments. His quick wit, warm smile, and generosity of spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met. Bill was known for his unwavering support of his family and friends, always offering a helping hand. He worked as a Salesman for over 40 years at Handi Rak Wholesale, before retiring and starting his own business repairing appliances which brought him great joy to "save the day" for so many people. There wasn't anything he couldn't fix, nor anyone he wouldn't help. He was a truly special soul and gift from God!

He is survived by his three sons, Andy, Matt, and Nate, as well as his eight grandchildren, who will miss their grandfather's love, wisdom, and laughter.

A service to celebrate Bill's life will be held on Tuesday, April 8th, 10:30AM at James River Church West Campus, 3953 W. Farm Road 168 Springfield, MO. We would love to have friends and family attend to celebrate his life and share laughter together as he would have wanted.

Bill's memory will live on in the hearts of those who were lucky enough to know him. His legacy of love, kindness, and strength will continue to inspire all who remember him.
