William Gene "Bill" Boone, age 83, entered the heavenly gates on March 24, 2021, in Mercy Hospital, Springfield, MO. Bill was born November 2, 1937, in Fairfax, OK, to John and Bertha (Grimes) Boone. He attended Fairfax Public Schools, Southwest Missouri State College (Missouri State) and University of Tennessee Pharmacy School. He was united in marriage to his wife, Norma, on September 25, 1961, and they had one son, Daniel, and one daughter, Billie.

Bill began his pharmacy career in Springfield at Gordon's Drug and then worked 30+ years at St. John's (Mercy) Hospital Pharmacy. He loved his farm and all the animals, watching lots of sports and enjoying his family.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents, his in-laws, six siblings and their spouses and several nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife, Norma Boone; son, Daniel (Lynn) Boone of Nixa; daughter, Billie (Shane) Rudminat of Springfield, ten grandchildren, Daniel (Cherith), Katie, Carter, Caleb, Christian, Addison and Ariah Boone and Taylor, Avery and Keegan Rudminat.

Graveside services will be held in the Maple Park Cemetery, Aurora, MO, at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 27, 2021. The family will receive friends just before the service from 10:30 till 11 AM at the graveside.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.

A celebration of Bill's life will be held at a later date.
