Beverly Lyn Matthews 60, of Bolivar, MO passed away peacefully after a long illness Monday, July 17, 2023. Her husband Carl, daughter Emily and niece Leslie were by her side.

Beverly was born November 9,1962, to Bennie and Reta Davidson in Independence MO.

Beverly loved her Kansas City Chiefs and the company of many friends. She enjoyed playing cards and on-line games with family and friends. Her father Bennie taught her how to fish which she in turn passed on to others, especially to her grandson Braxton. Most of all Bev loved to make people laugh. She always had a good joke to share.

Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Rhonda, her son Brian, and her nephew Erick.

Survivors include her husband of 29 years, Carl Matthews; daughter, Emily Breckenridge; grandson, Braxton; granddaughters, Aleena and Gabriella; two sisters, Pamela Thomas and Julie Boyer and her husband Denny Boyer; many nieces and nephews; and many good friends that she considered family.

Bev was always checking on family and friends and she loved them all fiercely. She will be greatly missed.

There will be a Celebration of Life on August 5th in Clinton, MO.
