Barton McCaslin

Barton A. McCaslin Jr., born September 12, 1937, in Haskell, Oklahoma, was a loving father, dedicated educator, talented craftsman, and cherished friend. Raised by his mother, Thelma McKinney McCaslin, he developed a lifelong love of learning, honesty, and integrity.

Barton earned his bachelor's degree from Northeast Oklahoma College and his master's degree from Southwest Missouri State. He enjoyed teaching Industrial Arts and creating beautifully carved pieces of art from wood and leather.

Barton was the proud father of Clyde, Andy and Clint. He treasured camping, storytelling, and time spent with family. He was blessed with nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren, who added much joy to his life.

Barton was known for his warm personality, generous heart, and strong Pentecostal faith. he was an active member of Cassville Assembly of God Church.

Barton will be remembered for his kindness, creativity, wisdom, and the lasting impact he made on all who knew him.
