Barbara Lillian Schaefer, 82, of Marionville, MO, passed away Sunday, July 9, 2017, in Ozark Methodist Manor. She was born October 29, 1934, in Aurora, MO, to Wayne Richardson and Audra Austin.

She graduated from Marionville High School and went on to earn her Master's in Education from Drury. Barbara owned and operated the Ruffles and Bows Video Store. She was united in marriage to Frederick Paul Schaefer on August 17, 1952, and they raised their five children in the Marionville area. She was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick Schaefer; mother, Audra Austin; father, Wayne Richardson; step-mother, Dorothy Richardson; half-brother, Don Richardson; and grandson, Paul Rinker.

Barbara is survived by her children and their spouses, Celestia "Kim" Rinker and husband, Steven, Mt. Vernon, MO, Erick Schaefer and wife Doris, Marionville, MO, Frederick Michael Schaefer and wife Sandy, Hurley, MO, Stephen Schaefer and wife Denise, Mtn. Grove, MO and Donna Cargile and husband Stephen, Aurora, MO; 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; sister, Teri Evert, South Carolina; several nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends that will miss her dearly.

Private services for the family will be held August 17, 2017 (Frederick and Barbara's 65th wedding anniversary), in the St. Peters Evangelical Cemetery, Billings, MO. Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, Springfield.
