Eunice “Arlene” Carpenter, age 86, of Marshfield, Missouri, passed away on March 9, 2026. Arlene was born on May 5, 1939, in Joplin, Missouri, to Earnest James and Wilma Breazeale.

Arlene was united in marriage to Earl Clyde Carpenter on June 6, 1958. Together they built a loving family and were blessed with five children: Greg (Rhonda) Carpenter, Judy (Randy) Loveland, Dean (Dorynda) Carpenter, Christy (Larry) Welty, and Michelle (Lloyd) Murray. She was also the proud grandmother of 12 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild.

Throughout her life, Arlene worked at Glo Drycleaners in Springfield, Missouri. She also cared for many children in her home and was actively involved in the church nursery, where she loved spending time with little ones. Arlene had a special talent for sewing and embroidery and lovingly created quilts and other cherished handmade items for her family, gifts that will be treasured for generations.

Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Earl; and her son-in-law, Farrell Cutburth.

She is survived by her sister, Janice Dipley; her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren; as well as many nieces and nephews. Arlene leaves behind many family members and friends who loved and cherished her, and she will be deeply missed.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services in Springfield on March 23, 2026, at 1:00 p.m.
