Andy E. Carter, Jr., age 64, of Seymour, MO, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2018 at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO. Andy was born April 17, 1954, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania. He graduated from Interboro Senior High School in 1972. He proudly served in the United States Navy for 4 years.

Andy is survived by his wife Mickey of 20 years; his children, Angelina Fritz, Kathleen (Kat) Bakanauskas, Crystal Carter, and Andy Carter III. Andy is also survived by his sister, Joan Marie Gregory, and his brother Bruce A. Carter.

He was preceded in death is his mother, Elizabeth; his father, Andy, Sr. and his sister, Betty Jean Gantz.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and uncle to many. He enjoyed being a mechanic, rebuilding cars, and riding motorcycles. He will be deeply missed by his family and all who knew him.

Services will be held at 3 PM, Friday, June 15, 2018, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery with full Military Honors. A procession to the cemetery lead by the Patriot Guard will be leaving from Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, 2026 W Woodland St, Springfield, MO 65807, promptly at 2:20 PM. If not participating in the procession, please do not arrive at the cemetery before 2:45 PM.
