Obituary
Andrea Marie Blakemore (Coombes), age 37, claimed victory and went into the loving arms of Jesus on July 28th, 2021, in Cox South Hospital around 5:30 pm. Andrea was born October 5th, 1983, in Springfield MO and was raised in Republic, MO by her Mother and Father William and Rita Coombes. A few short years later she welcomed her two brothers, Andy and Matt Coombes, into their loving family.
Later Andrea moved out of the house and attended College at Central Bible College where she obtained a degree in sign language. While going through college she worked at Lowes and met the love of her life and her best friend, Matt Blakemore. They married shortly after on September 18, 2004. Andrea was smitten in Love and head over heels in love with Matt still to this day 18 years later.
Andrea was a wonderful photographer in the southwest Missouri area who specialized in weddings, engagements, seniors, and family portraits. God truly blessed her with a gift of photography. She would bring out a smile in even the hardest customers. She always made people feel loved and accepted no matter what. I can't even count the times that Andrea went above and beyond to photoshop a missing hat, bat, or even an entire person in a picture for teams and families to have everything absolutely perfect with a picture they would cherish forever.
Andrea sacrificed anything and everything she had to help everyone around her even if that meant that she would go without. When people came to her with a problem she did everything in her power to fix it and make it all better. She knew how to walk into a room and talk to each person and make them feel special and loved.
She never passed up an opportunity to teach her kids to be kind to all people. She'd go out of her way to get a hot cup of coffee and soup to take back to someone homeless on the side of the road. She loved God with all of her heart and she cherished every moment to go and be in the presence of the Lord and worship with arms waving. She always made it a point to take her kids to church and teach them about God's love through example. Some of her best memories were going to church and watching both her boys get baptized.
But her pride and joy was becoming a mother and rocking her babies to sleep for hours, scratching their backs, playing games, or baking with them. After baking they'd take pictures covered in flour and batter not caring about the mess but just enjoying the memories because she knew they wouldn't stay little for long! Aunt "Sissy" loved getting her nails done with Hadassah and sneaking all kinds of cookies and candy to all her other nieces and nephews despite the scolding of their parents that she was spoiling them rotten. All in all…Andrea knew how to love…wholeheartedly…sacrificially…and that will never end.

Andrea was preceded in death by her baby girl, Angelina Hope Blakemore; her mother, Rita Lavonne Coombes of Republic, MO; her aunt, Sandy Jones of Bolivar, MO; her grandpa, Clarence Jones of Everton, MO; and her grandma, Nona Hudspeth Springfield, MO.
Andrea is survived by her husband, Matt Blakemore; her father, William Eugene Coombes of Republic; brother, Andy Coombes; brother, Matt Coombes and his spouse Brittni Coombes of Republic MO; brother, Nate Jones and his spouse Janna Jones of Springfield, MO. She is also survived by her two beautiful children, Brenton and Bryson Blakemore; ten nieces and nephews, Hadassah Coombes, Kal El Coombes, Wyatt Coombes, Braxton Coombes; Harper Phillips, Cade Clutter, Xander Clutter, Gabe Clutter, Zander Jones, and Lilah Jones, as well as many other extended relatives and cherished friends that will miss her dearly.
A Celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 3, 2021 at 11:30am at the James River Church - West Campus, 3953 West Farm Road 168, Springfield, MO 65807.
