Alma Irene Tinker (nee Dyer) was born October 21, 1924, in Dillard, MO. Daughter of George W. Dyer and Virgie Mae Dyer (nee Sellers), Alma departed this life on August 19, 2015. Alma was married to Willard D. Tinker on January 1, 1942. This union was blessed with two sons, Willard Eugene Tinker and Larry James Tinker. Alma and Willard were blessed with fifty one years together before Willard departed this life on January 1, 1993. Those who remain to mourn her passing are her loving son, Larry James Tinker (wife Louise); five grandchildren, James Tinker (wife Connie), Carren Dotson (husband Stanley), Phil Tinker (wife Sarah), Lisa Tinker and Lonnie Tinker; nine great-grandchildren, 1 step-granddaughter; brother, Delbert Dyer (wife Aleta); three sisters, Norma Jean Conaway, Betty Short and Erma Martin; eight nieces, fourteen nephews, and many great nieces, great nephews, cousins, and other family and friends. Alma loved spending time with her family and traveling. She was a special human being and her life had great purpose and meaning. She will be missed dearly by all those who knew and loved her. A celebration of Alma s life will be held at 7 PM, Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services, 2026 W. Woodland St., Springfield, MO.
