Our beloved mother Alice M White, known as Penni to her friends, was born the 19 ^th of August in 1928 in Lansing Michigan and died the 18 of May 2020 in Springfield Missouri. She was 91 years old.

She is survived by two children, Karyn Morgan of Bastrop Texas and Darin White of Springfield, Missouri and predeceased by her daughter Brenda White and her former husbands, Ford White and Frank Bates.

In the Spring of 1961, she and her family moved from Michigan to Missouri where she returned to school and graduated from Southwest Missouri State, now Missouri State and went on to get her Masters degree when she returned to Michigan. She dedicated her life to her family, her church, and her students.

In the last six years of her life she relocated to Bastrop, TX to an assisted living facility near her daughter where she continued to actively counsel her peers. She returned to Springfield the end of March, 2020 so her son could care for her in her last days. She will be missed by all who knew her.
