Alan Amos Hartman, 60, of Springfield, MO, passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021. He was born April 30, 1960, in Lebanon, PA, to Amos and Shirley Hartman.
Alan was proceeded in death by his parents, Amos and Shirley Hartman; Aunt Mildred "Micky" Hartman; and his little buddy Matthew Dostick.
Alan Grew up in Lebanon, PA, where he graduated from Lebanon High School in 1979. He Spent much of his time helping his community as an EMT and Volunteer firefighter, while working at Hershey Park. He enjoyed being an amateur radio operator "N30XS" and was an avid Philadelphia Flyers and Eagles fan.
Alan met his wife in 1997 in an AOL chatroom a story he was very proud of, which later brought him to Springfield, MO, in 1999, where he soon married Brenda. Alan continued to carry on his passion of helping people by volunteering with The American Red Cross and starting a men's group to help people struggling with weight loss. Alan went on to get his Associates degree from Ozark Technical Community College in Media Production in 2011.
Alan is survived by his wife Brenda; stepdaughter Chastity and Husband Brandon; Stepdaughter Bianca and boyfriend Chris; three step grandchildren: Trapper, Skyler and Brooklyn; his aunt Ruth Buser; uncle Glen Gockley and wife Nancy Gockley; Uncle Terry Gockley; his best friends Pat Dostick and Harry Zweier; Many cousins, family and friends that will miss him dearly and his fur babies Kashi, Hershey, Kittya and Sissy.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Midwest Cremation and Funeral Services.
